Click on the {{man button|[[File:Gramps-spouse.png|33px]] Partner {{man tooltip|Add a new family with person as parent}}}} button (Shown with tooltip displayed above). This will bring up the Family Editor dialog with ''John Smith'' listed as the ''Father/Partner1'' in the family. Had the active person been a female, the person would have been listed as the ''Mother/partner2'' in the family. The Family Editor dialog is shown in the screenshot.
