Importing allows you to transfer data from other genealogy programs into a Gramps Family Tree. Gramps includes a core set of importer plugins that are selected automatically based on the corresponding file extension. And "Importer" [[Third-party_Addons|plugin type of third-party add-ons]] can be installed and the automation will recognize the new file extensions.
