Sorry! Must've fat-fingered the mouse click... had an accidental highlight to bottom of page instead of just setting the insert point for the added text in the "See Also" of the "Contact" wiki article. (Took me a while to discover where you had to do the repair.)

Since you are reading this paragraph, then the I have not progressed to the point of trimming out the excess template material. That means the wikipage is certainly not ready for collaborative editing yet. Multiple people editing now might unintentionally overwrite their work. Contact me via the Discourse discussion forum while this page exists as a 'Discussion' page.}}

Hi Patsy! Are you able to delete these MediaWiki accounts? If so, please delete this "Emyoulation" ... it was a "new user test" account. All my other work is under the earlier "Bamaustin" account and it would be bad if contact attempts via the test account's "Talk" page went unseen.

Once the template content is cloned, Edit the page. Paste the raw Tutorials outline for your new How Do I... article above the See also section. This "raw Tutorial outline" might be simply pasting in a copy of a useful thread from one of the Gramps maillists or the Discourse forum.

Hi Gioto. The grammar had been unchanged for quite some while. Your edit just attracted attention. (Every time I start to read the Wiki ... instead of just using it for a reference... the missing content distracts me. I am trying to fill in links from the Glossary "Custom Types" to where they are introduced in the wiki.)

Finding a Gramps Glossary term to link may be easier than choosing the best introductory section in the wiki.
+
Regarding the sandbox.
 Active Person

 Primary Object

Glossary terms (like Active Person above) are normally lowercase and use an underscore between words. They have a brief description and may already have the introductory text and practical tutorial linked. You can fall back to the Letter index (like using 'P' with Primary Object above) if you don't know the exact entry.

Since most of these How do I... tutorials are likely to have been prompted by a MailList discussion, a set of example 'See also' link are included for reference.

Pointing the maillist archived thread link to the original message that inspired the tutorial give proper credit for the idea & reveals the background discussion.

Pointing another link to a good search phrase for the archive allows similar discussions to be explored.
+
Noticed that the layout is slightly incorrect. The Navigator and Sidebar are taller. The stacked Search Bar, Display and Bottombar together are the same height as those 2.

+
You're right. Text representations may be easier than screen captures for Translators. I tried including GIMP templates and gramps.ini files so translators could edit the text... but MediaWiki does not want to manage those filetypes.

Ok, I've tried my best with the table and it is only meant to be a representation and not exact. The reason the searchbar & bottombar's take up a full line is technically if you hide the navigator and sidebar that is how it is shown. the height of the display I've kept the same as the navigator & sidebar for simplicity. Once the tutorial Preview is satisfactory, save a revision of the document. Then clean out the virtual Copy&Paste clipboard cluttering up your tutorial and save a final revision.

To remove the virtual Copy&Paste clipboard, simply delete everything from the beginning of this section to the bottom of the document. It is all disposable.

If the Copy&Paste clipboard is needed again, simply paste the following line at the end of the Edit box, Save a revision, & edit again.(Previewing isn't enough... a revision must be saved.)

Other wiki Templates can be used as virtual Copy&Paste clipboards in the same way.
