→Automatic backup
In the {{man label|Family Tree}} tab of Preferences, an {{man label|Autobackup}} interval can be set to check if the Tree has changed in this editing session and make an archival copy. The countdown starts from when Gramps is launched or from when the interval selection is changed. This trigger is deferred if the computer has been suspended and delayed during the wakeup.
Autobackup intervals can be set to every 15, 30, 60 minutes, "Every 12 hours" and "Every day" (New intervals for "Every 12 hours" and "Every day" have been added.
Each archival backup (without media) is stored in the folder specified in the {{man label|Backup path}}. The filename is patterned :
