To add an event, a citation/source, a place, or a repository to the family tree, switch to the appropriate {{icon|even}}{{man label|Events}} View (See Fig. {{#var:chapter}}.{{#expr:{{#var:figure}}-24}}), {{icon|cite}}{{man label|Citations}} View, {{icon|sour34}}{{man label|Sources}} View , {{icon|plac}}{{man label|Places}} View , or {{icon|repo}}{{man label|Repositories}} View. Then click the {{man button|+}} icon on the toolbar to add the corresponding object. Enter the information into the {{man label|Event Editor}} ( {{man label|Source Editor}}, {{man label|Citation Editor}}, {{man label|Place Editor}} , or {{man label|Repository Editor}} ) dialog.
