Now, share this same event with the witness if this person is in the family tree. However, assign that person a "witness" role in the event. You can do this by selecting the the witness from the {{man label|People category view}}, then in the {{man label|person editor}} select the {{man label|Events}} tabs, and select {{man button|Share an existing event}} instead of {{man button|Add a new personal event}}. From the {{man label|Select Event}} dialog chose the event you just created, and in the {{man label|[[Gramps_5.1_Wiki_Manual_-_Entering_and_editing_data:_detailed_-_part_2#Event_Reference_Editor_dialog|Event Reference Editor]]}} set the {{man label|Role}} to ''Witness'' from the dropdown list.
