GRAMPS 3.0.1 has been successfully installed and tested on both the latest releases of Solaris 10 (SPARC platform) and [http://opensolaris.org OpenSolaris] 2008.05 (X86 platform) by building GRAMPS from source.
Finally, type make to install into your desired location
make install
