A little suggestion, how about renaming/moving this page to something like "Gramplets for Developers" or "How to make a Gramplet" ? Then we can reuse the "Gramplets" page for user facing help? This will split the technical information from the standard help? I can do this if no one objects? --[[User:Gioto|Gioto]] ([[User talk:Gioto|talk]]) 04:48, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

what should the sample be for the:

help_url="Muestra Gramplet"

That is, if the original wiki page is in a non-English language, what should the page title look like? "Hola_Mundo_Gramplet.es"? and would the English be "Hello_World_Gramplet.en"?

Undid your edits for the Spanish hello world as the code _(" (the underscore) assumes the first Language used by the code is English and that subsequent Languages are provided as translations , same with the help page the initial page is English and for each additional Language, the Language code is automatically added to the end of the help URL eg: http://xxxx.org/wiki/helloworld/es just like in user manual --Daleathan (talk) 22:25, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Sounds like a good idea. It also needs Rule added as another Type of Gramplet.

I had added the Spanish Hello World because it was unclear to me how the localization process worked.

So, a Sample that originated in a foreign language would be a good exercise for an English Monoglot to learn about the translation requirements. That way, there is a better chance of their English-only designs for new Gramplets would build-in any structure needed to easily Translate their tool.

They would learn the purpose of the 1) code _(" (the underscore) 2) string translation tables

So far, I've only been successful in adding the 2 Hello World examples. (and I found the sample code for the second had a versioning error.) I tried compositing the Built-in Filter Rules for Multiple Marriage & count of sources. But that failed as an add-on. (The objective was a new filter rule to find people with more than 2 marriages. The purpose was to find a good person in the example.gramps for a screen capture on re-ordering relationships.)
