The Linux Genealogy Desktop CD 6.1 släpptes den 29 11 2010.

Den här Live CD:n är baserad på Ubuntu 10.10 (The Maverick Meerkat ) Desktop CD och har kompletterats med programmen GRAMPS 3.2.5, samt programmet GraphViz som kan skapa snygga diagram i GRAMPS. CD:n finns endast tillgänglig för x86-architektur.

Till skillnad från de tidigare versionerna så medger denna utgåva permanent installation av Linux och de olika genealogiprogrammen på din dators hårddisk. På detta sätt så kommer du att uppnå en större effektivitet. Du får möjlighet att spara dina data, och kan samtidigt använda resten av linuxprogrammen till annat arbete. Allt påminner om livesessionen förutom att det här är en permanent installation.

Skaffa denna CD

Du kan skaffa CD:n på flera olika sätt.

  • GRAMPS SourceForge
  • Ladda ner själv. Tack vare att utrymme donerats till oss så kan en CD-avbild laddas ner via protokollen http, ftp eller rsync (rsync://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/gramps/).
  • Köp skivor. Ett alternativ till att ladda ner på egen hand är att köpa färdiga skivor. Dessa finns för närvarande till salu i Australien och USA.

There is a script for OpenEmbedded support or buildroot, crosstool-NG, PTXdist, ...

Translations

If after installation, your desktop is not fully translated to your selected locale:

  1. have a look at Menu -> System -> Administration -> Languages support [1]
  2. or manualy download packages with your language code. Then under a console:
$ sudo dpkg -i *.deb
