Meaning
Green Current version. Recommended for all new installs
Yellow Still supported (Update to the last release for that version / Strongly Recommended you upgrade to the Current version)
Blue Current Public testing version (Unstable/Alpha/Beta/Release Candidate)
Silver Development version (Git Version - Here be dragons - Recommended only for testing the future of Gramps)
Red Not supported (Update to the last release for that version / Strongly Recommended you upgrade to the Current version)
