Merge places (regular)
Merge places (expanded)

Gramps provides a merge utility that will allow you to combine two identical places into a single place.

The process is fairly simple:

  1. Switch to the Place View.
  2. Select the first Place by clicking on it.
  3. Select the second Place by holding down the Control key while clicking on it. This will select two places.
  4. Select Merge menu item from the Edit Menu.

Once you have done this, you will be presented with a form that will allow you to choose the name of the merged place.

Clicking on OK will complete the operation.
