Google Earth

With this map service, you can show where one or more places are located on the globe, by using Google Earth. You must have Google Earth installed to show the result. If it is not installed the file describing the places with coordinates, can be copied and used on and system with Google Earth installed. The Google Earth file is called "GrampsPlacesForGoogleEarth" with file extension kml for a text file or kmz for a zipped file. The file is located in the users home directory.

First you must select GoogleEarth as the map service. Then select select one or more places in the Place View and press GoogleEarth, Loading...
