I have been using Joomla for a few years and also Gramps. Initially I had two web sites, one for each with the Gramps one being the standard Gramps generated one. Joomla! Content Management System

This was an orphaned Article page. Re-activated March 2019 to link Gramps wiki content related to interfacing Joomla and Gramps.

Joomla! is a Content Management System. A content management system or CMS is server-based software that facilitates creating, editing, organizing, and publishing content on the web. There are multiple ways Gramps can populate content into Joomla!

A Case History

"I have been using Joomla for a few years and also Gramps. Initially, I had two web sites, one for each with the Gramps one being the standard Gramps generated one. I then tried various ways to put both of them together. I like the Joomla component Joomlagen by Sjoerd van Staveren. I did try this but was unable to get it to look like my site.

I also have seen the other references to Joomla on this wiki, in particular Howto:_Make_a_genealogy_website_with_Gramps. I had already been working on adding my Gramps site via an iframe in Joomla and to this end made some changes to the Gramps narrative website report to produce a site that matched my existing Joomla site. The result can be seen on my web site, but the Gramps part of it is currently only visible to Registered users. However, there is a page with images of Gramps at stemster.net which shows how it blends with my Joomla site."
