The GRAMPS XML, GRAMPS package and GRAMPS V2.x database are all native GRAMPS formats. There is no risk of information loss when importing from or exporting to these formats.

GRAMPS allows you to export a database into the common GEDCOM format. It provides options that allow you to fine tune your export (see [[Media:Gedcom-exportexport_3_1.png|Fig.3.5.gedcom-export-fig]] ).
