Thanks so much for all the hard work. This is a great program!

The new layout of Person tabs (Events, Names …) requires an excess wide window in order to see also the last, much needed tab (References). Navigating to there to hidden tabs takes a lot of clicks.

One resolution could be arranging the active tabs (with some content in it) first, before all the others. Alternatively an icon indicating that there is active content hidden would also help a little. (For some reason the tabs are also much wider than what is needed.)

    – Another thing I have wondered is why the title of a place is not any more composed automatically from the name of the place (and surrounding place).

[I am using Gramps 4.1.2 on OSX, language Finnish]

I’ve really been quite pleased as I’ve grown to use GRAMPS. It’s a great application. However, I seem to have hit a little bump. I’ve been rolling with upgrades. I was just getting the hang of building place names following the change in ver 4.1.1 and converting all my previous places when ver 4.1.2 rolled out. Now I don’t see the auto construction of titles from the name value plus the enclosed by value occuring. when I type in the name field what I type is not added to the title field. I tried running back to release notes and reviewed the edit places section of help but I’m not seeing this issue discussed. Is there a config option I’ve missed?

Hi, I recently downloaded Gramps and I’m very impressed so far.
I watched a youtube video on Gramps, and I noticed that when adding Places, the Title field was filled in automatically when typing in the Name field.
This isn’t the case in my Windows 64 bit version (GrampsAIO64-4.1.2-1).
I’m wondering if this is an OS issue, if it is version based, or if there is a setting to be made that I just haven’t found yet.
A reply would be most appreciated.
    Thanks.

    1) The program does not install in the right directory (C:\program Files).
    2) Each time I try to add a photo, the program crashes and corrupts my database.

    Kind regards.
