Festive Thoughts
With the end of the year approaching I thought that it would be a good time to say thanks to all those that have contributed their time to Gramps. The development in 2_2 has started to pick up and it is shaping up to be a real step forward. We all know how hard it is to find time to commit to Open Source projects and especially how hard it is to show the kind of commitment that Don and Alex have shown to Gramps.
This is the first year that I have seriously pursued my family history and Gramps has been enormously helpful in collating the information I have found. In September it was my Grandmothers 90th birthday and with the help of Gramps I was able to construct a family tree as a present to her.
So, I would like to pass on my thanks to all of those that have contributed to the Gramps project, whether they be developers, testers, documenters or users that provide bug reports and feedback.
Lets hope that 2006 turns out to be another good year for Gramps.
Regards
Richard
